Google Maps Driving Mode

Several months ago, Google added a new “Driving Mode” feature to Google Maps, but had a limited rollout to start things off.

Now, according to a report from Android Police, things are starting to change. The publication says that users all across the globe are starting to see the feature land on their devices. To find it, just slide out the left-hand menu and select “Start Driving.” Once that’s done you’ll see the new mode start working, which essentially gives you all of the features of Navigation, like traffic updates, without having to set in a destination.

It’s a pretty handy feature. Make sure you’re running the latest version of Google Maps to make sure that you’ve got a shot at running Driving Mode, and if you try it out, let us know in the comments what you think of it.
