Google, today, started rolling out a major new update (v2.2) for Google Keep that introduces a plethora of of new features to the note-taking app. The first thing that you will notice in the app post the update is the yellow action bar, which is more inline with the yellow colored icon of Keep.
Other notable changes include the ability to search for text snippets in images uploaded by you, a Trash, an updated Hamburger-style navigation menu and more.
Below is the full change-log of the update:
- Searchable images: Find printed text in images
- List settings: Set where new or checked items go
- Trash: Keep deleted notes just a little longer
- Yellow action bar
- Updated slide-out menu with multi-account selection
- Make copies of notes
- Action bar changes color with notes
Sadly, Keep still lacks the ability to share and edit notes in real-time with other users — something that has long been requested by many users.
As always, Google is rolling out the update in stages so expect it to land on your Android device over the next few days. You can also download the APK and install it manually from here.
