Google Home was unveiled in October of last year, and went on sale in the United States in November.
For those in the United Kingdom that have wanted to get their house outfitted with Home, the wait has been long. But it looks like it’s coming to an end soon. BBC‘s Rory Cellan-Jones has tweeted out this morning that Google’s Vice President of hardware, Rick Osterloh has confirmed Home will launch sometime this Spring.
No explicit launch dates were announced, or prices, but Osterloh believes that the “vast data” of Google Home, and its AI capabilities, will help it stand out against the Amazon Echo — which launched in the UK back in September of last year.
If you’re in the UK, are you looking forward to seeing the Home launch?
