Google has always intended on bringing its digital personal helper, Google Assistant, to more devices.
And before the end of last month, the company confirmed that it was planning on rolling out Assistant to more phones out in the wild. It is moving ahead with those plans, as Google has confirmed, via a YouTube video, that Assistant is beginning to roll out to those handsets beginning today.
To be specific, Google Assistant will be available on smartphones running Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat.
You can watch the announcement video below.
Google will be expanding Assistant to all Android devices with English users in the United States. This will be followed by rolling out the feature to Australia, Canada, and United Kingdom. Assistant will also support the German language in Germany soon.

Assistant gets better the more people use it, especially for their own use cases, so this is good news for those who have been waiting to use the feature. And good news for Google, too, because it means Assistant can only improve from here on out.
