Kicking of IFA in Berlin, Germany, Google has announced that it is bringing Google Assistant to a bunch of speakers and home appliances from OEMs like LG, Panasonic, Anker, and more.

Google notes that either most of the smart appliances and speaker will feature Google Assistant integration — meaning you can trigger the Assistant from it, or you can control it using Google Assistant from a compatible device.

In its announcement, Google notes that the TicHome Mini by Mobvoi, Panasonic’s GA10, and Zolo Mojo by Anker will soon be running Google Assistant. This means that you can trigger assistant on these speakers by saying “Ok Google” and follow it up with your query.

Then, there’s Google Assistant support for appliances. LG is the most notable partner which plans to bring Google Assistant support to its 2017 lineup of smart home devices. Thanks to Google Assistant support, you will soon be able to say “Ok Google, wash my clothes” from your compatible Android device, iPhone, or smart speaker running Google Assistant and have your smart washing machine clean your clothes. You will also be able to ask Google if your clothes are cleaned or not and control other smart appliances around you.

Google notes that we should see more smart appliances running Google Assistant or compatible with it being announced at the ongoing IFA in Berlin over the next few days.
