Earlier today, Google officially started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for Nexus devices. And now the company is already talking about what’s coming down the pike.

Over on the official Android Developers Blog, the company has made it clear that they are “moving Nougat into a new regular maintenance schedule,” and that the first part of that scheduled maintenance rollout is beginning soon. As for when it will be released, Google says they’ll roll out the maintenance update sometime this fall.

And of course Google’s keeping the most important part, the part where they tell us what’s included, a secret for now. They did say it will provide “continued refinements and improvements,” though, for what that’s worth.

This is good news all around as it means Google’s already working on ironing out any kinks it’s discovered with the release, long before any substantial amount of people even get their hands on the new software.
