There’s an update for Google Allo waiting in the wings, which will roll out at some point today, that will add some oft-requested features.
The new features were unveiled by Amit Fulay, who is the Head of Product for Google Allo and Duo, over on Twitter earlier today. Unfortunately there aren’t a lot of details to go along with the news, other than what new additions will be arriving in Allo at some point today. The features themselves, though, are surely enough to keep Allo users happy for the time being.
The primary new addition is the ability to backup chats, as well as restore them when needed. On top of that, Allo now supports incognito mode for group chats as well. Finally, Allo supports link previews for good measure.
There’s still no word on when, or even if, Allo will support SMS integration, or even get a desktop app in the future.
Are you still using Allo at all?
