Google today announced a couple of new features for Gmail for Android: the ability to block specific email addresses and an unsubscribe button.

The first feature will basically allow Gmail users to prevent emails from specific email addresses making its way to their inbox. Instead, emails from these users will directly end up in their Spam box. This feature will be available for Gmail users on the web starting from today, and an update for the Gmail app for Android to add this feature will be available over the next week.

As for the Unsubscribe button, it will now also be available for the Gmail app on Android. It will allow one to quickly unsubscribe themselves from mailing lists and newsletters. The feature has been available on Gmail on web for quite sometime.
