Google today announced an update for the Gmail app for Android that adds some much requested feature to the app, including a unified inbox and threaded conversations for emails from non-Gmail users.
The new “All Inboxes” option will allow users to view all their emails from different email accounts at once. As for threaded conversation, emails from Yahoo, Outlook and other IMAP/POP accounts will be automatically threaded to make going through those long email threads easier.
Other changes that Google has made in this update include a smarter search system with better auto-complete, new responsive animations, larger attachment previews and the ability to save files directly to Google Drive in a single touch.
The update is being rolled out through the Play Store over the next few days. You can, however, download the APK from here and sideload the app manually.
