We recently saw the 10.5 inch Galaxy Tab S leaking out in a couple of pictures, showing the front and back respectively. A new revelation today comes from the FCC and gives us a better look of the device, even from the sides.
It’s clear from this leak that Samsung will use the same design language as the Galaxy S5, including the perforated pattern on the back for better gripping. There’s no word on whether the tablet will be water resistant like the Galaxy S5, but we won’t be surprised if it is.
It’s likely that Samsung is following Sony’s strategy which involves launching an Xperia smartphone and tablet with almost identical hardware and features. We don’t see the heart-rate monitor on the back with the Galaxy Tab S though, so everything might not be the same.
The Galaxy Tab S is set to be one half of the company’s new duo of AMOLED tablets, with an 8.4 inch variant rumored to be in the making as well. There’s no time frame given for the launch of these tablets, but we expect the announcement to happen anytime soon given that they are already being spotted in leaks.
