After months of leaks and inadvertent revelations, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 has finally gone official today. As expected, it includes a total of three tablets in 7, 8 and 10.1 inch configurations much like last year. Specs wise, there’s nothing noteworthy here as you would have imagined from a mid-tier tablet device.
Since the Galaxy Tab PRO and the Galaxy Note PRO already accommodate for the high end tablet segment, these tablets will fit in nicely with the midrange market. So let’s dive right into the specs sheet.
All three tablets will feature a display resolution of 1280 x 800 with the only difference being the size. More specs include:
- 1.2 GHz quad core processor
- 3-megapixel rear camera accompanied by a 1.3-megapixel portrait camera sensor
- 16GB of internal storage, with an 8GB model available for the 7 inch model
- MicroSD storage expansion
- 1.5GB of RAM
- Android 4.4 KitKat
The tablets will feature several of Samsung’s software features like Multi Window, WatchON, Group Play etc, so they shouldn’t be any different from other Samsung devices that have launched recently. Pricing details are yet to be confirmed by the manufacturer.
