Samsung’s Android 9.0 Pie beta program for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is now live in South Korea. While Samsung is yet to make any official announcement about the same, the update seems to be rolling out to South Korean S9 owners who registered for the beta program.
The Android 9.0 Pie update for the Galaxy S9 will also mark the debut of Samsung’s brand new One UI which is optimized for large screens. The Korean company had unveiled its One UI earlier this month at its developer conference. The refreshed skin will come with some new features along with a system-wide dark theme. It will also bring all of Android Pie features to the Galaxy S9 including a gesture-based navigation interface.

Apart from South Korea, Samsung’s One UI/Android P beta program for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ is expected to go live in the United States, Germany, and some other key markets from later today.
If you want to take part in the One UI beta program for the Galaxy S9 when it goes live later today, make sure to download the Samsung Members app from the Galaxy App Store. Do note that you must already be in a region where Samsung will be making the beta program eligible to receive the update. Plus, the beta program is going to have limited slots so make sure to sign up as soon as it goes live.
