According to the Korean publication Chosun, Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S6 on March 2nd at MWC in Barcelona, Spain.

The report also states that the Korean giant has developed multiple prototypes of the Galaxy S6, but is yet to finalise on which one it will be releasing to the public. According to an employee of a subcontractor at Samsung, one of the S6 prototypes has a metallic casing.

Additionally, the company is yet to decide whether it will be releasing the handset with a normal screen, or an edge screen running on one or both edges.

This information lines up perfectly with all the rumors about Samsung working on multiple prototypes of the Galaxy S6 that we have been hearing about since quite sometime.

The report also confirms that LG will not be unveiling its next flagship — the G4 — at MWC 2015. The company has never released its flagship handset at MWC, so this should not really come as a surprise. However, the company’s official did reveal that they will be focusing on wearables at MWC this year.

Earlier today, a Bloomberg’s report indicated that Samsung will be using its own in-house Exynos chipset instead of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 on the Galaxy S6 because of overheating issues.

This year’s MWC is shaping up to be one of the biggest mobile event in recent years with both HTC and Samsung unveiling their 2015 flagship handsets at the event. While Samsung is yet to make the Galaxy S6 launch event official, HTC has already sent out invites for the unveiling of the One M8 successor on March 1st at MWC 2015.
