AT&T and US Cellular today announced that they will start taking pre-orders for Samsung’s latest and greatest flagship — the Galaxy S5 — from March 21st.
The handset will set users back by $199 on a two-year contract with 16GB of internal memory on either networks. While US Cellular will ship the handset on or by 11th April, AT&T only lists “early April” as pre-order shipping dates.
Users who pre-order the Galaxy S5 on US Cellular will also be getting a $50 Google Play gift card. While AT&T is not giving away any gift cards or accessories for free, it will be making the handset available at Next pricing so that existing users can upgrade to the S5 without paying through their nose.
Samsung also jumped on the bandwagon to announce the US pricing of its trio of smartwatches announced at MWC– the Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit. While the Gear 2 will retail for $299, the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit will retail for $199. If you end up ordering any of these watches with your S5 from AT&T, you will also be eligible for a discount of $50.
