LG has just unveiled the G3 and the phone is a monster in every way. Compared to its competition, the LG G3 sports many new features and novelties that makes it stand out from the crowd. The Korean company has even improved the design of the handset replacing the non-removable back found on its predecessor with a removable metal like back.
Overall though, is the G3 the best smartphone to be released in the first half of 2014? How does it stack up against the likes of the Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and the Xperia Z2? Has LG’s “Simple is the new smart” motto helped it in besting the competition? Check the comparison sheet below to find out.
If you look closely at the chart above, you will notice that the G3 packs in the biggest screen compared to its competition at 5.5-inches and yet, it is only as tall as the Xperia Z2 and HTC One M8. It also supports wireless charging — a feature that no other flagship handset listed above packs.
The only thing that G3 lacks is any kind of IP rating (protection against dust and water), which might be beneficial in certain scenarios. Otherwise, the handset easily bests the competition in quite a few areas.
