With all the talk of the fingerprint scanner and the heart rate monitor of the Samsung Galaxy S5, you might have wondered if the camera was any good. And to answer that question, Samsung as well as a couple of other sources have posted official images and videos taken from the smartphone, revealing terrific results.
The 16 megapixel ISOCELL sensor used on the flagship really shines here as indicated by the demo images, with decent low light results as well. Samsung has put a lot of emphasis on the software of the camera app, which now comes with three types of focus modes (near focus, far focus and pan focus). This could be a social media user’s delight as he won’t have to download a third party app from the Play Store to make these tweaks to his images.
Other software features like advanced HDR and all the ‘Modes’ from previous Samsung flagships are present on the Galaxy S5 as well. You can check out a bulk of these images in the gallery below.
The folks at Recombu have also published 1080p and 4K video samples taken from the camera, which reveal a great amount of detail. Alternatively, you can also check out the entire list of camera software features courtesy of the folks at Android Authority.
