After initially rolling out the Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 in Poland, Samsung has started a wider rollout of the update starting from Spain. The company is expected to rollout the update to other European countries over the next couple of weeks.
Samsung has already rolled out two minor updates for the Galaxy S5 in Poland after the initial Lollipop update to fix the minor issues and other bugs plaguing the firmware.
Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy S5 brings with it a bunch of enhancements, including lockscreen notifications, system apps with partial Material Design makeover, a redesigned multitasking UI, multi-user support and more.
The Galaxy Note 4 is widely expected to be the next device from Samsung to receive the Lollipop update, though it is rumored to land sometime in Jan-Feb. next year.
Even though Samsung is among the first OEMs to release the Lollipop update for its flagship handset, the limited rollout of the update effectively means that majority of the S5 owners will receive the update a month or two down the line.
