Samsung is currently not working on bringing Android 5.1 to any of its devices or for that matter the latest version of TouchWiz to the Galaxy Note 4

A rumor over the weekend suggested that the Korean company will be bringing the new slimmer and lighter version of TouchWiz — as seen on the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge — to the Galaxy Note 4 with the Android 5.1 update. However, the reliable sources of SamMobile have confirmed that the company is currently not working on bringing either Android 5.1 or the latest version of TouchWiz to any of its devices, including the Galaxy Note 4.

Android 5.1 mainly contains a lot of bug-fixes, performance improvements and added support for dual-SIM and HD voice, which are already present in Samsung’s version of Android. Therefore, it makes sense that the company is currently not dedicating resources on porting Android 5.1 to the Galaxy Note 4 and its other devices. This news, however, will surely disappoint Galaxy Note 4 owners who were expecting Samsung to bring the new lighter version of TouchWiz to its flagship phablet.
