Samsung Galaxy K

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy K tomorrow at a dedicated event in Singapore. And just a day before the release, the company has posted a teaser on its official Instagram page which confirms the 10x optical zoom feature. This video shows the camera zooming in and out of the event location – Red Dot Design Museum, which is a giveaway of things to come.

It has been rumored that this camera oriented smartphone comes with 10x optical zoom, which gives a clearer view of faraway objects pretty much like a conventional point-and-shoot camera. Other features of the Galaxy K include the 20.2-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display, a hexa-core Exynos 5260 chipset, Android 4.4.2 KitKat and 2GB of RAM.

We will bring you all the details from tomorrow’s press event as the event kicks off at 11AM local time in Singapore (3AM GMT). Leaks have indicated that the device comes with a very familiar design, which isn’t a surprise considering Samsung’s tradition over the past couple of years. It has also been revealed that the Galaxy K will feature rounded edges to provide better grip while taking images.
