Google Nexus 6P

The Nexus 6P is, undoubtedly, the most perfect and premium Nexus handset ever released by Google. Despite some impressive phones from Samsung, LG and Xiaomi being launched this year, the Nexus 6P is easily among the contenders for the best smartphone released this year.

No wonder the demand for the handset is sky high, and Huawei seems to be struggling to meet them. The Nexus 6P went on pre-order immediately after its unveiling on September 29 in the United States in three colors: Silver, Aluminium, and Frost. While Huawei and Google have managed to deliver some units of the silver and aluminium colored Nexus 6P, customers who pre-ordered the Frost variant have been in a limbo with absolutely no update on when their order will be shipped.

Today, Google is finally sending such customers an email to provide them with an update about their order, and the news is not good. Google says in the email that it now expects to deliver your frost Nexus 6P between 7/11/2015 to 14/11/2015. Considering that the handset went up for pre-order on September 29, that sure is a long time. To make up for the delay, Google will ship the devices to affected customers via expedited shipping, and will also give a $25 credit.

In India, where the Nexus 6P went up for pre-order in the middle of October, delivery of the Graphite variant of the handset has been delayed by another week. Huawei and Flipkart are giving affected customers a discount of Rs. 1000 to make up for the delay though. The 64GB silver colored Nexus 6P is also in short supply, with orders for most customers being delayed as well, though they are not receiving any such discount.
