The first retail unit (to the best of our knowledge) of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been sold in Dubai, following the device’s unveiling on 3rd August. The Galaxy Note 7 is not expected to arrive in US and Asia till the 19th of August and in Europe only after the 2nd of September, however as seen in the unboxing video below, someone in Dubai has managed to get their hands on its retail unit.

This lucky user has managed to not only receive a unit from a retailer, but also had a 128GB microSD memory card thrown in for free. Apparently, he paid AED 2999 (US$ 815) for the device, which was in the Titanium Silver colour.

In the video the user unboxes the Galaxy Note 7 and the talks about its key features, such as the S Pen, its IP68 certification, and iris scanner before describing the package contents. The Galaxy Note 7 shown in the video is the Duos variant i.e. it has dual-SIM capabilities.

Samsung had started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 7 in Dubai before its official unveiling, but it was not expected that the company would start selling the handset in the region the very next day after its unveiling.
