The first generation Moto X, E and G LTE have been getting a series of tests lately, and it looks like Motorola has finally decided which version of Android to put on the handsets.
As revealed earlier today by Motorola’s David Schuster, the aforementioned handsets have been undergoing rigorous testing in some regions with Android 5.0.2, but ever since Google released Android 5.1, the company has also been testing the handsets with the newest version of the platform as well. As a result, Motorola has decided to skip Android 5.0.2, and go straight to Android 5.1.
Unfortunately, when that update will actually land is anyone’s guess, as Schuster didn’t say. But, knowing is half the battle, right?
