A new version of GravityBox — one of the most popular Xposed modules for Nexus devices out there — was released today that is compatible with Android 5.0 Lollipop.
It was only earlier this month that Xposed framework was updated to support Lollipop and ART. While the Lollipop version of the framework did not break compatibility with existing modules, some of the modules that modified the interface and other usability behaviour required an update to better work with Android 5.0.
GravityBox packs a plethora of customization options allowing users to tweak nearly every aspect of their device. This includes Pie controls, Expanded Desktop, Navigation bar tweaks, Quick Settings customizations and more. The module, however, is only compatible with Nexus devices or devices that are running an AOSP build of Android.
The Lollipop release of the module is missing a lot of the customization features including Quick Settings management, lock screen customization and more. While some of them require a major rewrite and won’t be back before sometime, there are others that won’t be coming back because the changes in Lollipop have made them obsolete.
The developer has rightfully tagged the first release of the module as alpha, so you might encounter some bugs and issues. Make sure to report them to the developer so that he can fix them for the next release.
