Ten days after the CyanogenMod team released the first Release Candidate of CM10.2, it has gone ahead and released the final version of its custom ROM. CyanogenMod 10.2 is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and brings with it a plethora of customizations, features and tweaks to more than 50+ supported devices.

The final release of CyanogenMod 10.2 also means that the CM team will now shift its focus to work (almost) exclusively on Android 4.4 KitKat and CyanogenMod 11. While CyanogenMod 10.2 nightlies will continue, expect development to slow down greatly as device maintainers will focus on CM11 nightlies for their respective devices. The CyanogenMod team will also be retiring its ICS branch along with CM9 nightlies, because of the lack of activity on those branches.

You can head over to CyanogenMod’s download page to get your hands on the stable version of CM10.2 for your Android device. If you are coming from an older version of CyanogenMod (eg. CM10.1), you can update directly without wiping any partition. However, make sure to use the correct Google Apps file.
