While Google may have released Android 4.4 KitKat, some OEMs are yet to update their device to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Samsung is one such company, busy working on the Jelly Bean update for the Note 2.
Two test firmware for the Note 2 leaked back in October, giving us a glimpse of all the new features that the update would include. The Android 4.3 update would be the first Android OS version update that the Note 2 will receive ever since it was launched last year in September.
Today, the folks over at SamMobile have leaked one of the final Android 4.3 firmware for the Note 2. Since this is one the final builds, all the features and enhancements seen in this firmware are final. The leaked firmware contains the same features as the previously leaked firmware including an updated version of TouchWIZ as seen on the Note 3/Galaxy S4, Samsung KNOX and Wallet. Sadly, the firmware still includes the old launcher and widget, which will disappoint a lot of Note 2 owners.
Samsung is widely expected to start rolling out the official Jelly Bean update for the Note 2 from this coming week onwards. However, if you cannot wait for the official roll-out to begin, head over to SamMobile for the download link and flashing instructions.
