As the Chairman of Google, it doesn’t come as a surprise when Eric Schmidt promotes Android, but in a rather unusual move, he took to Google+ to help his friends make the switch with a detailed step-by-step guide, who he says are switching from iPhone to Android. He writes:
Many of my iPhone friends are converting to Android. The latest high-end phones from Samsung (Galaxy S4), Motorola (Verizon Droid Ultra) and the Nexus 5 (for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile) have better screens, are faster, and have a much more intuitive interface. They are a great Christmas present to an iPhone user!
It is also interesting that he compares the switch from “iPhone to Android” like the switch from the “PC to the Mac and never switch back.”
Schmidt’s “Converting to Android from iPhone” guide if fairly detailed. It includes how to set up the device, install the latest Android software update, add Gmail accounts, import Contacts, sync music using Google Music Manager, manually syncing photos etc and even finer details such as disabling iMessage before making the switch.
You can check out Eric Schmidt’s complete “Converting to Android from iPhone” guide by following this link. I doubt Apple’s CEO Tim Cook will respond with his own guide to switch from Android to iPhone.
