EMUI 10

Huawei today officially unveiled EMUI 10, the next version of its UI. The company will be starting EMUI 10 beta testing from September. The first devices to get the EMUI 10 beta will be the Huawei P30 series.

The first beta of EMUI 10 will be available for the Huawei P30 series from September 8. Huawei will then expand the beta to include its Mate 20 series in the same month. The Mate 20 series will include the Huawei Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, and the Mate 20 Porsche Design.

Huawei also confirmed that its upcoming Mate 30 series will ship with EMUI 10 out of the box.

EMUI 10 will be based on Android Q. At its developer conference, Huawei confirmed that EMUI 10 will come with a system-wide Dark mode, multi-screen support, and major performance improvements which includes a new version of GPU Turbo. Other improvements and changes in EMUI 10 are yet to be known.

Despite EMUI being such a heavy skin, Huawei has always been quick to release a new version of EMUI based on the latest version of Android. With EMUI 10, the company is again looking to pull something similar.
