According to a Reddit member, the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 causes a reboot when the data space on the phone is used up, forcing a factory reset to the phone.
In this particular instance, it seems that the issue was caused by the phone’s camera accidentally activating while the phone was in the pocket of the user. The recording, subsequently filled up the storage prompting a low storage warning. (https://spellpundit.com/)
The acknowledgement of the warning message then caused the phone to suddenly do a reboot. Upon powering up, the device was not responsive, notifications would not come through and some icons were missing.
The only workaround according to the user was to do a factory reset. The original poster in this case was able to salvage some of his data as it was backed up, and implores others to do the same, might similar fate befall them.
Though it is unclear whether this is a hardware or software issue, the user was running on the Android 6.0.1 update at the time of this disaster.
A thorough investigation by the user revealed that the camera suddenly became operational, and it is speculated that this was due to the Quick Capture feature being turned on.
Other Droid Turbo and Moto X users have come forward and pointed out that the sensitivity of the Active Display and Quick Capture is the root to many troubles as it has the ability to potentially turn on different functions. With one user having had an Amazon order accidentally purchased while walking his dog.
