After an APK leak that brought BlackBerry’s server to their knees and complete silence of a few weeks, the BlackBerry team is all set to continue with the roll-out of BBM for Android and iOS.
To ensure that their servers are better able to manage load, the BlackBerry team has implemented a simple line-up system. Once the BBM for Android iOS app goes live on their respective app stores, users will need to sign up using their email IDs. This will list them in a line, and once their turn arrives, they will receive an email from the BlackBerry team.
However, if you had signed up to receive information about the BBM app on their website, you can directly start using the app without waiting for your turn to arrive. The BBM team has also optimized their servers so that it can better manage the load once the app goes live on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
The listing for BBM for Android should go live in a few hours on the Play Store. We will update this post accordingly once the app is available on the Play Store.
Update: The app is now live in the Play Store and can be downloaded from here.
