Rumors about an HTC made Nexus tablet have been floating on the wide world of Internet for quite sometime but nothing concrete about the device has leaked until now.
Today, the folks over at Android Police have unearthed the possible specifications, features and release date of the upcoming Nexus tablet from HTC and Google.
The tablet is internally referred to as the Nexus 9 and will sport an 8.9-inch LCD with a resolution of 2048×1440. It will be powered by a dual-core 64-bit Tegra Logan chip from Nvidia and pack 2GB of RAM. Other specs include an 8MP OIS camera, a 3MP front-facing camera, front-facing stereo speakers and an aluminium zero-gap construction.
The tablet is expected to be priced at $399 for the 16GB version with the 32GB variant coming in at $499. The device is expected to be released sometime in Q4 of this year with a new version of Android.
With Google apparently not releasing any new Nexus handset this year, the release of a premium Nexus tablet towards the end of the year definitely makes sense, especially since Android Silver devices are not rumored to arrive before Q1 of 2015.
