For those who have yet to do away with the advertising on YouTube, may do so by switching over to YouTube Red now as Google offers the service for 99 cents for a three month trial period. Traditionally the service costs $9.99 a month, but as part of this deal, a subscription for Google Play Music is also bundled along.
YouTube Red offers access to YouTube’s original content programmes as well as the ability to play videos in the background. At the termination of the trial period, the service will revert to its original price of $9.99 a month. Unfortunately as is the case with most offers and promotions, this deal is limited only to those who are new users.
For now, YouTube Red is available in Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America only, while other nations, you are able to view YouTube Originals and purchase them directly from either YouTube or the Google Play store. For the aforementioned nations, your ability to save videos offline, playing videos in the background and avoiding adverts will revert back to the normal if YouTube detects that you are not in the said countries. For those who wish to try using a IP proxy service, we are not sure if it would work, but do leave a comment if it or any other method grants you access to Red services.
If you are intrigued, you can try out the service by registering for YouTube Red.
