Amazon today announced that it is kicking off its Black Friday deals three weeks before Black Friday actually arrives. The e-retailer has already started offering hefty discounts on some of the popular products, and one of them that stands out is for the Moto X (2014) that is available for only $199.
The 2014 Moto X did not stand out in three key areas: display, battery life, and camera. But even then, the handset stood out from the barrage of handsets released last year. That is likely due to the combination of its solid build quality and unique features like Moto Voice and Moto Display that are not found in other smartphones even today.
At this point, the Moto X (2014) is over a year old, but it still packs plenty of grunt inside it. The handset comes with a Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, a 5.2-inch Full HD AMOLED display, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,300mAh battery with Turbo Charging.
Usually the handset is available for around $300, so you will be able to save $100 if you take advantage of this deal. Since this is an unlocked handset, it will work on both AT&T and T-Mobile’s network in the United States. This also means that Motorola will be able to quickly update the handset to Marshmallow and future versions of Android without any intervention from carriers slowing them down.
The deal is available for the next 18 hours, though there is always a possibility that due to heavy demand, the limited units of the Moto X (2014) are sold out before that.
