The HTC-made Nexus 9 was supposed to be Google’s answer to iPad. It was expected to be the premium Android tablet with a software to match that no other Android OEM had delivered. Sadly, the tablet did not do so well and its sales were lacklustre at best.
Thanks to an excess inventory though, HTC keeps giving hefty discounts on the Nexus 9 from time to time. Today is one such day where the Taiwanese OEM is offering a discount of up to 40 percent on the tablet through its Hot Deals promotion.
The Wi-Fi only 16GB variant of the Nexus 9 that usually retails for $399, is available today for only $239.40, while the 32GB Wi-Fi variant is available for $287.40 (down from $479). The LTE variant of the tablet has also received a discount to $359.40, down from $599.
Sadly, HTC is only offering this deals for people residing in the United States. The deal lasts until Midnight Pacific time tomorrow or until supplies last. Looking at the sheer discount that HTC is giving here, I am betting it is going to be the latter. As of now, the 32GB Wi-Fi and LTE variants of the tablet are in stock, while the 16GB Wi-Fi variant is already listed as out of stock.
If you are in the market for a new Android tablet, the Nexus 9 is as good as things can get, and there is no way you can get the tablet at a better price than this.
