If you have been holding off on buying an unlocked Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ in the US in hopes of getting a good deal, your time has finally arrived. While Samsung and other retailers had been offering the handsets for $100 discount over the last few weeks, there’s an even better available from Best Buy available now.
The latest deal from Best Buy will require you to purchase the unlocked Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ at their full price of $725 or $825, respectively. But you will at least be getting a $200 Best Buy gift card from the retailer that you can then spend on buying various accessories or other electronic items from the retailer.
The unlocked Galaxy S8 and S8+ work with all major carriers in the US including T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon.
Compared to carrier versions of the Galaxy S8, the unlocked Galaxy S8 and S8+ come with less bloatware preinstalled. Additionally, they also receive direct software updates from Samsung which means they receive monthly security updates on time.
While Samsung also sold an unlocked Galaxy S7 in the United States, it did a fairly poor job of keeping the phone’s software up to date. With the unlocked Galaxy S8 so far though, the company has been rolling out monthly security patches on time.
