Most custom launcher users have been lusting after the dedicated Google Now panel in the Google Now launcher. However, since the launcher and Google Now app in itself are closed source, it is not possible for developers to bake this functionality into their launcher.

Now, the folks over at CyanogenMod have somewhat managed to include this feature in the default Trebuchet launcher on the latest CyanogenMod nightly.

The integration is not as polished and does not load as instantly as the stock Google Now launcher. This is because every time the user swipes to the left most homescreen, Trebuchet has to trigger a separate new Google Now activity, which takes time to load.

Don’t fret though. The CyanogenMod team is working on overriding the Google Now transition and making other minor changes to give the feature a polished feel.
