The CyanogenMod team today announced that it will start rolling out nightlies for the first batch of CM10.2 nightlies for some selected devices. While unofficial CM10.2 builds for quite a few popular Android devices are already available, it is always nice to have the official nightlies from the CM team since it means that their code has reached a level where the ROM can be used as a daily driver.

The latest version of CyanogenMod is going to include quite a few new features including the ability to ChromeCast from any app, Permissions manager for controlling the permissions of various apps and all the usual features seen in CM10.1. Right now, the CM10.2 builds are only available for the Samsung Captivate, and the Verizon, US Cellular, T-Mobile, Sprint, MetroPCS, Cricket and AT&T variant of the Galaxy S III. Since the builds for more devices are currently building, expect the list to grow over the next hours and builds for some popular devices like the Nexii series to show up.

You can download the CM10.2 nightlies from get.cm for all your supported devices. Don’t forget to download the supported Google Apps from goo.im as well. Also, if you are coming from CM10.1 or any other Android 4.2 based ROM, it is highly recommended that you do a clean wipe and don’t restore app data using Titanium Backup or any other similar apps.
