Adnan Begovic, a developer at Cyanogen Inc., revealed during his presentation at the Seattle Code Rush held over the weekend that the company’s take on Android now has more than 50 million users worldwide.

More impressively, Begovic reveals that Cyanogen OS user base is now more than the total combined number of Windows Mobile and BlackBerry users out there.

It is unclear if Begovic is talking only about CyanogenOS here or the numbers include users of the open source CyanogenMod as well. Nonetheless, there is no denying the fact that an OS with 50 million users is nothing to scoff at, especially for an OS that started as a custom ROM back in the early days of Android.
