Last year, the folks behind CyanogenMod went ahead and formed a company — Cyanogen Inc. — to help and expand their software as well as their user base. Today, in keeping with their evolving brand, the company has announced a brand new logo and identity for them.
According to CyanogenMod, the new logo is an amalgamation for what the company and its product stands for: Customization, Security and Open Source. On a deeper level, the ‘C’ in the logo brings together the company and the community, which consists of developers, users, contributors and fans. The arrow points to all them working towards making things better, bigger and faster.
CyanogenMod’s previous brand mascot — Cid — still exists but via the community. The company’s announcement post also dives deep into what their brand stands for — the concept of tools and building and the choices they offer to users.
