It’s October 4, which means Google has plans to take the stage and announce brand new things, like the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.
The handsets have actually been getting a lot of attention recently — but not from Google. Earlier today, a report showed off the Pixel and Pixel XL in blue, while a Verizon landing page confirmed the handsets will be arriving on the Big Red carrier at some point in the future. And the leaks have just kept happening over the last several weeks, leading up to the announcement.
Now, as reported by Business Insider, there’s even a commercial to look at before Google announces anything. The video was uploaded to Google+ by user Rabid Rotty, who says that the commercial aired on TV no less, up in Edmonton, Canada.
The ad includes a couple of people, one of which asks, “What’s that?” and the other replies with, “I don’t know, ask Google.” From there it’s a white rectangle, and then some imagery, like a poker table, and a city. The ad then suggests viewers should go to google.com/phone, which, at the time of publication, was still down.
You can check out the ad below.
Are you getting excited to see what Google brings to the table with the Pixel and Pixel XL?
