Right on schedule, the CyanogenMod team has started rolling out the latest Milestone build of CM11 for all their supported devices. The latest Milestone brings with it some notable new goodies and other bug-fixes, which should be appreciated by all regular CyanogenMod users.
The highlight of the 7th milestone release of CM11 has to be the new Theme Chooser UI, along with a completely overhauled Theme engine. The Theme engine had made its way into the nightlies quite a few weeks back, but without the new Theme chooser UI, it was pretty much useless.
Below is the official change-log of CM11 M7 right from the CyanogenMod folks:
* Common: Theme Chooser UI Overhaul
* Common: Calculator app redesign (courtesy Xlythe)
* Common: Performance Profiles
* Common: Improved theming performance on low memory devices (~512MB RAM or less)
* Trebuchet: Move settings to new slide-out panel
* Trebuchet: Consolidate settings for home and drawer options
* Media: Add FFMPEG support (expanded media format support)
* Bluetooth: Improved support for new car audio systems and docks
* Various small bugfixes, global and device-specific
Sadly, this release is still based on Android 4.4.2, which means that M7 users will be devoid of some under the hood security and bug-fixes. If you are already running a previous version of CM 11’s milestone release, simply use the CM updater to install the latest M release for your device.
You can also always go the manual way and download the ZIP file from their download center.
