Why trust Greenbot
Facebook Home is going to launch today … eventually, and one of its best features, at least in my opinion, is Chat Heats. It’s a horrible name, I’ll grant you that much, but it’s a powerful concept.
Instead of having to switch to another application to have a conversation with someone, with Chat Heads you get a notification that sits on top of whatever application you happen to be using. When you have time to respond to the message, just tap the notification, a small chat windows appears, and then you can chat the night away.
So how do you get Chat Heads? Easy, just install the newest version of Facebook Messnager. It runs on any Android device running version 2.2 or above. And if you’re not that big into Facebook Messanger, then don’t worry, because the app also supports SMS.
Here’s hoping Google “steals” this UI paradigm and bakes it into a future version of their OS.
