Every once in a while Google rolls out an update to the Play Store that brings some minor or major usability changes to it. The last update introduced the ability to bulk install apps directly from the Play Store — a seemingly minor feature for many, but great for people who continuously switch between phones.
However, chances are that most Android users have no idea about this. If you are one of them and don’t know how to bulk install apps from the Play Store, read the steps below to find out how:
Step 1: Open the Play Store on your Android device, slide-out the hamburger menu from the left and tap on My Apps.
Step 2: Swipe over to the All tab where the Play Store will list all the apps that you may have ever installed in any of your Android device(s).
Step 3: Long press and highlight one of the apps that you want to install. Once it is highlighted, tap on the other apps that you want to install as well. After selecting all the required apps, tap the Install button on the top right in the action bar.
You will now manually need to accept the app permissions of all the selected apps. Sadly, there is no way to skip or automate this process. Once your have accepted the permissions of all the apps, the Play Store will automatically start downloading and installing them one by one.
