BlackBerry announced today that it will be working with Google on developing a software that will make it easier to manage and secure Android devices.

After being reduced to a no one in the mobile smartphone industry, BlackBerry has turned it focus on mobile-device management and security platform. The Canadian company had signed a similar contract with Samsung and other technology industry giants last year. The company said that it is already offering a “highly secure mobility solution” for Samsung’s Android running devices.

On Wednesday, BlackBerry outlined a similar tie-up directly with Google, to manage devices equipped with Android for Work – Google’s own solution to securely separate business and personal data and applications.

BlackBerry will be working with Google on its recently announced Android for Work platform, which separates your business apps from personal apps in a secure and safe manner, and will help the latter in developing a software to better manage those devices.
