Moto G4 Plus rear

It has been a month since the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus were unveiled by Motorola/Lenovo. Right now, the handsets are only available in India and Brazil, with their international availability expanding to other parts of the world over the next month or two.

For its price, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus are great phones. And a great phone requires a great case. You obviously don’t want to drop the phone and get it all scratched up. Do you? So to help you decide we have some case recommendations for your brand new Moto G4 and G4 Plus.

Note that due to their limited availability, renowned brands have not yet started selling cases for the handsets. For now, your options are limited to cases from some lesser known Chinese OEMs. While not exactly popular, the cases will still do a pretty good job of protecting the handset from dings and drops in day-to-day usage.

Cimo TPU Case

If you are looking for a decent TPU case for your Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, the Slim Protective cover from Cimo should get the job done. The TPU case features raised bezels to make sure that the screen of the handset is also protected from drops and scratches. The case does not feature cutouts for the power and volume buttons, but there are cutouts in place for the rear camera, microphone, microUSB port, and the 3.5mm audio jack.

At $7.99 with free shipping, Cimo’s TPU case should get the job done for you until better offerings make their way to the market. The TPU case is available in blue, black, and translucent white colors.

Fettion Leather Wallet Case

If you are looking for a flip leather cover for your Moto G4/Plus, do have a look at the Fettion leather wallet case. The folio style wallet features pockets to store your ID or credit cards. It also provides more than ample protection to your handset against drops and scratches. Even better, the leather case can also be made to act as a stand that allows you to kickback and watch videos on your Moto G4 while travelling with ease.

The only downside to the Fettion leather case is that it does not feature a built-in sensor that would automatically wake the Moto G4 Plus when the case is opened. But then, at $9.88 (excluding shipping), you really cannot expect much. The Fettion leather wallet case is available in a bunch of colors, including brown, red, blue, black, and white.

The J&D TPU case for the Moto G4 and G4 Plus is slim and offers enough protection from dings and drops. The TPU case has cut-outs for the various ports and even the logo at the rear of the phone to ensure that its functionality is not affected in any way.

Plus, they are available in a bunch of colors (7!) and are priced pretty cheap at $7.99.
