During Google’s I/O event, the company outlined their plans with their foray into the wearables space with Android Wear, and at the same time made it possible for anyone interested in jumping on the bandwagon to do so through two options: LG or Samsung. The watches have been on sale through the Google Play Store since the end of June, but if you prefer another outlet to buy your electronics, Best Buy has you covered. Sort of.
Both the LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live are currently alive and well on Best Buy’s website, and you can give Best Buy your hard-earned cash for the wearables if you’re so inclined. However, it’s worth noting that while the LG G Watch is listed as shipping within a business day of your placed purchase, Samsung’s Gear Live is just a pre-order at the moment. Trying to estimate the arrival won’t get you very far, either. Though, in good news, you’ll be able to pick the G Watch in either its black or white hues. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like either smartwatch is available in store just yet, but that could change soon.
There aren’t any surprises when it comes to pricing, either. The G Watch will cost you $229.99, and the Gear Live will run you $199.99.
Now that you can buy your Android Wear wearable from Best Buy, here’s a quick way to make sure you can find all the apps for your new gadget, to make sure you get the best experience possible.
Have you bought an Android Wear smartwatch yet, or do you plan on waiting for Motorola’s Moto 360?
