AT&T and HTC have stopped rolling out the Android 4.4.3 update for the One M8, which they had started rolling out just a couple of days ago.
The update apparently introduced a serious battery drain issue, which led to the update being halted. Thanks to a staged roll-out though, the update had only hit a limited number of One M8 owners on AT&T.
The Android 4.4.3 update for the One M8 only includes some minor improvements to Camera, GPS, Gallery and under the hood security fixes.
AT&T and HTC did not provide a timeframe as to when a new build with the issue fixed should be rolling out, but the wait should not be more than a couple of weeks long at the very maximum.
HTC has already rolled out the Android 4.4.3 update for the T-Mobile and Sprint variant of the One M8 with the update for the Verizon variant scheduled to go live in mid-September.
If you have already received the Android 4.4.3 update on your One M8 and are facing severe battery drain, there really is not much you can do until AT&T and HTC roll out the new update.
