For Verizon Wireless subscribers that own the Galaxy S5, yesterday saw the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop. Today, for AT&T Galaxy S5 owners, the update that’s about to land on their handset isn’t as good.
As revealed by Android Police, Galaxy S5 owners under AT&T’s banner are set to receive an over the air update for their handset in the near future, with the rollout beginning today, that will bring new software to the handset. Unfortunately, it isn’t Android 5.0. Instead, the update will bring Android 4.4.4 to the device, along with AT&T’s proprietary HD Voice app (and its icon). The update is build KTU84P.G900AUCU2AOA1, and it also offers up some “AT&T Service additions.”
It measures in at 478MB.
The update should be rolling out shortly.
