Samsung has officially confirmed that the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is now rolling out to the Galaxy Note 3 under AT&T’s umbrella.
Waiting for new software can be a painstaking test of patience, but for AT&T subscribers that own a Galaxy Note 3, the wait to get Android 4.4.4 KitKat is just about over. According to a report published on Thursday, November 20, some Galaxy Note 3 owners are now receiving an over the air (OTA) update to their devices, which brings them up to Android 4.4.4. While it’s not the newest version of Android out there in the wild, it does at least bring some new features to the older device.
Specifically, with the Android 4.4.4 update, the Galaxy Note 3 will pick up new features like Kid Mode, SideSync 3.0 and Knox 2.0. The update itself measures in at 459MB. The Big Blue carrier has also apparently made some changes to some pre-installed applications on the device, now making the Uber app another one that cannot be uninstalled.
As is par for the course for these types of updates, the OTA update has begun rolling out now, but it will take some time to land on all the devices out there in the wild. If you haven’t received the update just yet, stay tuned. It should be coming soon.
