The Nexus 6 is one of the newest Android-based smartphones to land on AT&T’s network, but it looks like it’s not all rainbows and butterflies.

According to several reports, and published by Droid-Life, the AT&T-branded variant of the Nexus 6 has been hit with a debilitating software bug, of which Motorola has already identified, according to these sources. The report claims that this particular bug showcases a black screen, and refuses to connect to services even when the device is powered on. With the blackened display and lack of connectivity, the Nexus 6 is essentially a paper holder.

The report also states that the bug is apparently only present in the initial batch of Nexus 6 units that were sent out to to the Big Blue carrier, and that Motorola has already begun sending out fixed devices. At the same time, Motorola is also reportedly asking the carrier stores to send units back. And, for what it’s worth, this seems to be only an AT&T-branded model issue.
