At an event in Delhi, India today, Asus unveiled a bunch of new ZenFone branded phones in the country including the ZenFone 2 Deluxe and the ZenFone 2 Laser.
The ZenFone 2 Laser and the ZenFone 2 Deluxe are variants of the company’s highly successful ZenFone 2 handset. The former is targeted towards the lower end of the smartphone market and will be available in a multitude of configurations with screen size varying between 5.5- to 6-inches.
Under the hood, the handset will be powered by a Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of storage space, a microSD card slot, a 13MP shooter with an F/2.0 aperture, dual-SIM and LTE connectivity. Asus has also included a laser autofocus sensor, as seen on the LG G3 and LG G4, on the handset for faster AF. The base model of the handset will be available for Rs. 9,999.
Next in line is the ZenFone 2 Deluxe, which comes with a textured diamond-cut back for a premium look and feel. Otherwise, the phone is similar to the highest-end ZenFone 2 and packs in a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 4GB RAM, 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display, LTE, Dual SIM, 64/128GB storage space, 13/5MP shooters, and a 3,000mAh battery with Asus’s BoostMaster technology for quicker charging.
The ZenFone 2 Deluxe will be available in India for Rs. 22,999. Both handsets will be available exclusively through Flipkart in the country in a variety of colors and storage options.
